JPSNT Conversations & Messaging

Welcome to Conversations — the private messaging system on JPSNT. Whether you're planning a co-op session, thanking someone for help, or just vibing with a fellow trophy hunter, you now have the ability to do that in real time.

💋 Where to Find Your Messages

Your inbox lives in the user menu (top right corner). Just tap your avatar and hit "Message Center". From there, you’ll see all your active conversations — and if you've archived any, you'll find them under the Archive tab. You can also filter by Unread, or click Clear All to wipe the whole list from your view. Feeling dramatic? Hit Archive All instead to keep things tidy.

💬 Starting a New Conversation

1. Head to another user's profile.
2. Hit the yellow "💬" button.
3. Start typing. You can talk about games, trophies, or ask for help — just don’t be weird.

✉️ How Conversations Work

• Messages update in pseudo real-time. No need to refresh.
• If you're not in the active chat, you'll hear a notification sound, and the page title will update to (1) or more.
• It’s inbox-style: not a true live chat, but close enough.
• You can only have one active thread per user. Keeps things clean.
• Newest messages appear at the bottom of the thread.

📢 Notifications

You’ll get a notification when:

• Someone starts a conversation with you.
• You receive a new reply.
• You're not actively in the conversation and a new message comes in (with sound + tab title alert).

These will show up in your notifications menu and your inbox.

⚙️ Message Preferences

You can customize who can message you from the inbox page. Just scroll down to the Message Settings section. You can choose:

• Anyone
• Only My Followers
• Only People I Follow

There's also a switch to completely turn private messages off if you're not in a social mood. Just a heads-up — if you disable messages, you won't be able to send or receive any except from admins or mods. That works both ways: they can still message you, and you can reply if needed.

🔐 Privacy & Etiquette

• Conversations are private between participants. Admins technically have access, but we don’t snoop — messages are only ever reviewed if a report is filed or there's a legit moderation reason. Otherwise, what you say stays between you and the person you're chatting with.
• All conversations must follow the Code of Conduct. That includes being respectful, not harassing others, and keeping things safe for everyone.
• There are no read receipts, so take your time.
• You can delete conversations — but it only removes them from your inbox. If the other person messages you again, the thread will pop back in so you don't miss anything important.
• You can mute or block someone if needed. (Blocking stops them from messaging you, but they'll still see the thread on their end unless they delete it too.)
• Don't spam. If people report you for being annoying, consequences may apply.
