This update focuses on improving the "User Screenshots" page & a overhaul of the commenting and reactng system on JPSNT

New Features

Improvements

  • Inline with the new rating metrics, the "User Screenshots" page has been updated and refreshed
  • Made comments into more of a review / testimonial style, removing the conversational nature. We have a forum for that now!
  • Anything with reactions enabled now only allows you to choose 1 reaction per post
  • Reacting to a post will now award you 10 XP

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed a bug that was causing the user XP to be awarded incorrectly when rating bounties.
  • Fixed a bug that was preventing users from achieving streaks when rating bounties.
  • Fixed a bug that wasn't applying the global multiplier to the bounty rating system.
  • Fixed a bug that was allowing pill pusher bots to comment on things somehow

UI & Text Updates

  • Added user screenshot rating information to he "User Screenshots" page.
  • Refreshed how reactions look and feel on the site.

Backend & System Updates

  • Added more metrics to the admin dashboard overview card.

This release introduces a new "Rate Bounties" page, where users can rate bounties they have submitted.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed a bug that was causing users to get spammed with notifications on level up.

UI & Text Updates

  • Fixed the spinner on the "Add to collection" button on the game page. Will now only display when an action is in progress.
  • Hovering over the "In Collection" button on the game page will now display the "Remove Game" so users know what the button does.

This release brings the user direct messages system to the site, opening up a new way for users to communicate with each other.

  • Added direct messages between users, start a conversation with another user by clicking the message button on their profile>
  • Added the message center, this is where your active and archived conversations will`

Improvements

  • Added "Community Support" to the forum for users to help each other out, with anything!

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed a bug that was displaying the actviity time in the "Game" section of the mega menu incorrectly.
  • Fixed a bug that was causing difficulty ratings in the mega meny to be shown as "Unknown Game".

UI & Text Updates

  • Renamed "The Forum" to "The Community" in the Getting Started section of the support hub.
  • Added the user documentation for the conversations system to "The Community" section of the support hub.

This update doesn't add any new features, but it does fix a few bugs and improve the user experience.

Improvements

  • Added the ability to report screenshots for abuse.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed a bug that was causing all notifications to be shown as being recieved "Just Now."
  • Fixed a bug that was causing the password reset form to not work.
  • Fixed a bug that was incorrectly displaying some country names on the user profile.

UI & Text Updates

  • Brought the login and password reset pages in line with the rest of the site.
  • Updated the forum documentation to explain the new @username mention system.
  • Fixed a problem that was causing some pages headers not to be the correct height.

  • Cleaned up a lot of old files and redundant code, small but minor improvements.

This update focuses on improving the site and adding new features. The core feature of this update is the notification system, which will allow users to manage their notifications & notifications settings, as well as make the site feel more alive.

New Features

  • Implemented Sticky Threads in the forum (can be used by moderators and administrators).
  • Added user mention (@username) to forum replies (Will become site wide in future updates).
  • Implemented the notification system into the site.
  • Added a notifications page that will allow users to manage their notifications & notifications settings.

  • Fixed a bug that was causing the search to be looking for posts instead of trophies.
  • Fixed a bug that was causing javascript alerts to be shown when submitting abuse reports on comments.
  • Fixed a bug that was assigned all user accounts to "Basic" account type in the admin User Manager.
  • Fixed a bug that was causing quoted replies to think they were blank.
  • Fixed a bug that was preventing the search functionality from returning more results.

UI & Text Updates

  • Added forum metrics to the admin dashboard quick view.
  • Improved the readability of the admin dashboard quick view.
  • Removed username from the site navigation user menu.
  • Added a notification bell to the site navigation user menu.
  • Added links to profiles in the forum posts and replies (silly oversight I know).
  • Added links to profiles in the Bounty Screenshot page.

  • Made changes to forum thread database structure to allow for sticky threads.
  • Set up the database structure for notifications.

This update focuses a lot on future proofing the site and small bug fixes

Improvements

  • Improved the bounty management system, now displayed more information to moderators and administrators.
  • Implemented infinite scroll for the bounty management system.
  • Patreon tiers can now be assigned / edited from the admin panel.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed a bug that crashed the bounty management system when filtering bounties.
  • Fixed a bug where approving a bounty with missing information caused the system to break

UI & Text Updates

  • Renamed the "Latest Unlocks" section to "Latest Bounties" in the mega menu.
  • The "Latest Activity" & "Latest Bounties" sections now display correctly even when it gets unexpected data
  • Improved mobile responsiveness of the admin panel.
  • Patreon badges now appear on users profiles according to their tier.
  • Moderator and Administrators who are also patrons will have their authority badge displayed first on their profile. But their patron badge is visible when hovering

Backend & System Updates

  • Refactored the approval, rejection and filtering of bounties in the admin backend.
  • Patreon tiers have been implemented into the JPSNT backend.

This update is the introduction of the JPSNT changelog page. This page will be updated with all the latest changes and improvements to the site.

New Features

  • Implemented the changelog page to track all site updates.
  • Implemented the unban feature for moderators and administrators.
  • Made the total interactions counter on the user profile socials tab show total user engagement.

Improvements

  • Corrected moderators and administrator permissions. Moderators are now prevented from editing or deleting user accounts.
  • Prevented moderators from being able to delete games.
  • Ensured that game edits are not incorrectly logged.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed a bug that showed the wrong Admin username for action logging in Administrative Events.
  • Fixed a bug that prevented moderators from taking moderator actions (warn/ban users).
  • Fixed a bug in the game editor where the correct information wasn't being shown.

  • Fixed the mini search bar issue on the search page by removing it (no need for two search bars).

Backend & System Updates

  • Moderation system updates: Ensured all moderator actions work correctly with proper permissions.
